Since port of Taichung Free Trade Zone wholly operated in August, 2006, its achievement has been good and its export and import amounts and trade values have been the top in four harbors. In 2008, the operating amount was up to 1180,000 tons and the trade value was 372 NT billion dollars. In 2009, despite the globally economic recession, in the leading of Mr. Wang, our colleagues were based on the Ministry of Communications’ policy of upgrading the added valued in the industry in the free trade harbor area, carried out the spirit of serving, were on the initiative to visit the factory owners, actively recruited the traders, and counseled the Wang Gwo Yeou international trade company in Changhua to pass the examination and smoothly become the twenty-seventh company in Taichung Free Trade Harbor Area. That is, since “Free Trade Harbor Area Establishment and Management Regulations” were rectified and announced in July 8th, 2009 and the central competent authority changed itself to the Ministry of Communications, the company was the first new factory owner entering the free harbor area business.
The Wang Gwo Yeou international trade company goes in for buying and selling all kinds of the foreign umbrellas, food, agricultural products, hardware, constructive material retailing, and so on. It rents the back warehouse from No. 11 wharf in Taichung Harbor, operates four free trade harbor area businesses of trade, logistics, putting objects in order, and package.
Such a company takes good advantages of the convenience of without Customs clearance or entering a country within the free trade harbor area and tax preference to decrease the goods transportation time and time of capital keeping long in stock. It purchases the internal and overseas products to go on with briefly putting them in order, pack, and transport them to our country and oversea areas. In this way, it can plan and control the goods more efficiently and does not need to go overseas to invest. In the future, it is expected to increase at least thirty TEU containers and 1,8000,000 NT dollars. The achievement is outstanding.
