Charges for Cargo Storage
1.Storage:
Cargo storage charges shall be assessed against shippers or consignees, for storing cargo in transit sheds, open areas, wharves or storage yards.

Remarks:Transshipment cargo shall be charged by NT$ 1.5 per ton per day, irregardless of classification. |
Import Cargo:
From the day the cargo enters into storage or stacking yard (for ships who are bunkering , the first day of cargo storage wil l commence from the end of bunkering) the first five days will be exempted from charges. The 6th day will be the start of a five-day period. Charges will be assessed accordingly on the first period, and will increased by 50% by the second period, 100% by the third period, and increased progressively until the sixth period. Any storage beyond six months will be persecuted by law.

Export Cargo :
From the day the cargo is in storage, every five days is considered as one period. There is no rental exemption period and the charges will be based on existing regulations. Any storage beyond six months will be persecuted by law.
2.Demurrage Charges:
General cargo demurrage shall be assessed against the consignee. It shall be collected from the day when the demurrage cargoes are stored on wharfs or any temporarily assigned storage area or water surface. The Harbor Bureau shall not be held responsible for the custody of cargo demurrage thus stored.
